A Busy Mom’s Guide to Speed Cleaning

A Busy Mom’s Guide to Speed Cleaning
We hear your sentiments: you’re busy, you’re working, and you’re juggling everything with just two hands. Among all the things that needed to be done by supermoms like you – raising children, accomplishing tasks, and attending to everything needed for work – housecleaning is always at the of the line. But we all know how important it is to have the house cleaned regularly. This is the reason why we’ve come up with a meticulous guide for all the busy moms out there.

The goal of this guide is to cut the cleaning time into at least half. No, don’t get me wrong. Speed cleaning does not only focus on the efficiency but as well with the quality of work. Only this time, you are using wisely your time. And believe me, you’ll be more surprised with what you can accomplished in just a short span of time. Ready? Let’s begin.

1. Have a routine.

Having a regular cleaning routine allows your brain and body to automatically function without debating over and over again where and when to start. When you’ve scheduled every morning for cleaning the kitchen, then do so. Do not spend a lot time thinking which part of the house to clean first. Keeping a routine also enables you to immediately breakdown the list of things needed for cleaning which in turn spares you a lot of time.

2. Make every move count.

Once you have developed a routine, it’s easy to identify your next move. Make every move count by simply recognizing the things that can be done at once. As much as possible, avoid backtracking. Carry all the supplies or materials needed all at once to save time from going back and forth to the rooms that you have cleaned and will be cleaning.

3. Use the appropriate cleaning equipment.

Housecleaning can be a little bit costly at times but would you rather use the most appropriate cleaning equipment or save a little money and buy those which does not guarantee the best outcome? Make sure that you are equipped with the proper tools and cleaning supplies when cleaning to avoid getting frustrated because (some dirt can’t be removed) you realize that you still need a trip to the store to buy whatever it is that you lack.

4. Work from top to bottom.

Working from top to bottom allows you to save a lot of time. This way, you will no longer repetitively clean, sweep or mop the floor since all the dirt and dusts are accumulated once your down cleaning from the top.

5. Don’t clean it.

If it’s not dirty, then simply don’t clean it. Notice how vertical surfaces of your homes aren’t as dirty as the horizontal ones? Yes, you should still clean them but if you are pressed with time, focus on the essential parts. Do not hurdle too much on places which does not require much of your energy, instead, channel them on areas that are always, always left untidy.

As a busy mom, you have to be very cautious of your time and effort. Spend them wisely and you’ll get the best of both worlds. Don’t hesitate to ask other people in the house to participate in the cleaning – this will surely save a lot of your time!
