The Proper Way of Cleaning a Water Cooler

The Proper Way of Cleaning a Water Cooler

You should clean your water cooler/dispenser regularly if you have one. This chore is unlikely to be left out always. Cleaning the cooler is recommended by the House Cleaning experts in Irvine every time the bottle is changed or every six weeks, whichever comes first. The most crucial aspect of maintaining your cooler is keeping the water clean. Fortunately, all you need is some time, water, and either bleach or vinegar to clean your dispenser.

Preparing the Remedy

Fill a bucket with one gallon of water.

This procedure is the same whether you’re using bleach or a vinegar solution. Consider a bucket with a handle or a bucket that is simple to handle. It’s great if no bleach solution leaks out of the container and into the floor or your clothes; thus, engaging the assistance of a qualified House Cleaning crew is recommended.

Prepare a bleach solution.

For every gallon of water you use, put 1 tablespoon of bleach in it. If possible, apply odorless bleach; it’ll be much simpler for House Cleaning services to flush the stench out at the end.

Carefully mix the mixture. If disposable gloves are available, use them (a recommended precaution, but not necessary). Do this in a place where you can afford to spill some, such as a large sink, as recommended by the House Cleaning staff in Irvine.

Prepare the vinegar mixture.

You’ll only need pure vinegar and a bucket to make the combination. To mask the smell, you might add a teaspoon or two of lemon juice to the vinegar to mask the smell. For every three parts of water, add one part of white vinegar. So, if you’re going to use a gallon of water, use 1/3 gallon (5 1/3 cups) white vinegar. If using lemon juice, add it after mixing the water and vinegar, as instructed by the House Cleaning professionals in Irvine.

Keeping the Water Cooler Clean

Take the bottle from the water cooler and disconnect it from the wall.

Keep in mind there are no other devices connected to the same outlet or close to where you want to clean your water cooler. This step eliminates any chance of water coming into contact with live power, no matter how remote, as the House Cleaning crew said.

Clean the inner surface of the water cooler with the cleaning solution and a sponge.

Allow for 2-5 minutes of standing time (no longer than that to avoid wear and tear), then drain the solution into a separate container through the tap. Drain the contents of this container into a sink or toilet so that the House Cleaning experts may adequately address these issues.

Hands must be washed thoroughly, and the fresh bottle must be dried with a towel.

Before handling the container again for the House Cleaning crew, make careful to wash your hands.

Make sure it works.

A House Cleaning crew, you must try to fill a glass with water and, if your dispenser has them, try both faucets. Check the water for any lingering odors.
