House cleaning services in Los Angeles offer exterior home cleaning

Nowadays, cleaning an entire bathroom is such a chore. It requires extra effort to clean it completely and properly. When we say properly, it’s not just a simple cleaning and brushing but it involves deep cleaning every single part of your bathroom. A lot of people don’t know how to clean their toilets properly, and that’s fine.

At first, we didn’t have an idea how much bacteria the toilet could spread. Along the way, we realize that our toilet is one of the spaces in our house that makes us comfortable. Like how while we are preparing for our daily lives, like before our children go to their school, or in our office, or before going to a party. And plus, we don’t want our visitors making your toilet uncomfortable.

In this article, we have gathered tips on cleaning your entire bathroom properly as recommended by our top cleaners from our house cleaning agency in Los Angeles.

1. Clean Everything

First, we have to clean out the bathroom area properly. As we all know, the bathroom can be one of the most intimidating places to clean. Wash the floor first and remove the empty bottles, empty cleaning products, soaps that are not being used anymore, and other stuff that you think is not useful anymore

2. Prepare Your Tools

Next is to prepare your cleaning tools and equipment to clean your bathroom floors, toilet, sink, and all general areas of your bathroom. It is not possible to clean your bathroom without using proper tools, just like for example when you’re cleaning a toilet, you must have a proper brush on the bowl that can remove stains deep down completely. You must also use an effective toilet bowl cleaner together with the brush.

Here are the recommended tools for cleaning your bathroom:

  • Gloves
  • Microfiber Cloth
  • Paper Towel
  • Sponge
  • Cleaning Toothbrush
  • Bowl Brush
  • Plunger
  • All-purpose cleaner
  • Baking Soda
  • Vinegar
  • Toilet bowl cleaner
  • Enzyme cleaner

3. Declutter

It’s nearly impossible to clean any space if it is cluttered. Tidying and organizing which includes getting rid of clutter, unnecessary items, and more. You have to get rid of everything on surfaces whether it’s on the counter or in the tub, and you can just either put it on the floor or outside the bathroom and that allows you to clean the areas that need it most.

4. Clean the Toilet

Let’s talk about one of the least exciting jobs in a bathroom. Cleaning a toilet always starts with the toilet lid closed and a bottle of bathroom cleaner. Start spraying from the top of the lid of the tank, the flusher, the tank itself, the toilet lid, and the area around the toilet base, and start lifting up the lid. Clean or spray over and under the seat, around and outside the bowl.

Stains and dirt can get everywhere in the toilet, so everything has to be sprayed. Spraying around the base of the toilet and enzyme cleaner can help break down any urine odors that have set in over time.

5. Using Toilet Brush

Use a toilet brush to scrape off any buildup that has hard water, bacteria, and grime built up over time. Start around the top then work your way down to the bottom, and shake it out. Clean the area around the edges of the bowl, down in the toilet’s main hole, and under the rim of the seat.

Focus on thoroughly cleaning any stained areas. Rinse the brush after flushing the toilet. Pushing or pulling the flush will clean the bowl while rotating the brush in the water as it enters the bowl.

6. Clean the Tiles and Glass

In cleaning the tiles and glass, use a tile cleaner, or you may use a detergent powder, or you may use a mixture of dishwashing antibacterial liquid soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Mix all ingredients and once you’re done, make your tiles and glass soak in the mixture. Then using a sponge, apply it by scrubbing on the tiles and glass and soak it for 5 to 10 mins. After soaking it, you may rinse it using water and swipe using a towel.

7. Clean the Bathtub

For cleaning the bathtub, if it doesn’t have too much soap scum and you don’t want to think about baking soda. You can use vinegar and dish soap on a spray bottle and this method works really well, and the mixture really does the job. Spray around the tub and use a non-scratch sponge. All areas around the tub should be cleaned by scrubbing.

Additionally, look at all blackspots that you can clean. After cleaning, rinse everything so you can either use a jug or shower head that’s removable. You can use that to give everything a good rinse and let it dry.

8. Clean the Mirrors and Sink

By cleaning mirrors, you just need to get some vinegar mixture and use a flat weave microfiber cloth to give it a good finish. We highly recommend using the flat weave microfiber cloth on the mirror because they don’t leave streaks whereas if you’re using a thicker towel, there will be visible streaks.

When cleaning the sink, simply sprinkle a little bit of baking soda and spray with vinegar and dish soap mixture. Letting that sit for a few minutes can help to break down any extra dirt that’s on your sink. Moreover, it will also help to unclog if your sink drain is blocked and make your sink smell better. Moreover, for hard-to-reach areas of the sink, you can use a toothbrush you don’t use anymore, to brush the edges and remove stains completely.

9. Clean the Countertops

For countertops, we recommend using an appropriate cleaner for the surface that you are cleaning. In this case, if you have a marble counter, you have to make sure that you are not using vinegar in it since that could potentially ruin it.

10. Clean the Floor

Most of us don’t want to use our hands to clean the floors. However, the effective way to do the cleaning of bathroom floors is to do it through our hands instead of bringing in a vacuum and then a mop since the bathroom is such a small space.

Additionally, using a microfiber cloth allows you to pick up the hair and use a pattern to pick up and collect any of that hair and debris and bring it right down to the edge of the door of the bathroom. Moreover, we also suggest using an all-purpose cleaner when you clean your bathroom floor.
