How to Clean a Coffee Maker by House Cleaning Sacramento

house cleaning services for coffee maker

Your coffee maker may not be as clean as you think. Some of the telltale signs of a dingy coffee maker are: Oily sludge and mineral deposits gradually accumulate on your coffee maker and pot, causing stains, clogging the brewing process, and resulting in bitter-tasting coffee. The germs and bacteria our naked eye cannot see may bring about a more serious concern.

House Cleaning Sacramento has looked up several House Cleaning methods to clean your coffee maker to brew a fresh batch of coffee.

1. Creating a House Cleaning Solution from Vinegar and Water

To cleanse your coffee maker, you have to pour the tank halfway with white distilled vinegar and water. If your coffee maker has accumulated terrible mineral deposits, you should increase the vinegar to water ratio. The acidity of vinegar cleans the coffee maker and carafe and dissolves any scale deposits buildups.

2. Soak and brew

Turn on brewer and put the filter in the basket. Turn the coffee maker off halfway through the brewing and soak the remaining vinegar solution in the carafe and reservoir for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how much buildup you need to remove.

3. Complete the Cycle and Cleanup

First, you have to restart your coffee maker and let it finish the brewing process. If the appliance has a paper filter, dispose of it and pour out the House Cleaning vinegar solution.

Vinegar eliminates the vinegar odor and taste from the coffee maker. Fill the reservoir with fresh water, insert a filter into the basket, turn on the coffee maker, and wait for the brewing cycle to finish.

For a second cycle, lift the filter, pour out the water, and replenish it with clean water. Using a clean House Cleaning microfiber cloth, wipe down your coffee maker and coffee pot.
