Important Things to Keep in Mind

Regular Cleaning

Just as with any homes, it’s best to give your flower vases regular cleaning to prevent any dirt, grime or mineral deposits. Cleaning your vase every once in a while can also keep your flowers fresher for longer periods.

We at Maggy Maid San Diego recommend that you clean your flower vases every time you change water to wash away any bacteria that could make your bouquet wilt much more quickly.

Avoid Scrubbing Too Hard

When you want to remove any mineral deposits or grime from your crystal flower vase, it will be easy to forget that these are made of glass and are extremely  fragile. When scrubbing at any spots, make sure to do this gently and not too hard to prevent any scratches or cracks.

Add Lemon for Those Hard Water Deposits

In case you’re faced with hard water deposits that just won’t come off, you can simply get half a lemon and rub this on the surface.

Hand Cleaning Your Flower Vases

It’s not recommended to just put your glass vases in a dishwasher for its cleaning because the exposure to heat and detergents can cause the glass to deteriorate and accumulate a few pits and scratches. Cleaning flower vases with a dishwasher can also be the reason for its cloudiness.
