Handprints and dirt are well-known on the walls of hallways that you regularly use. Your child’s adorable fingerprints can be challenging to clear. Thus, you have to remove them before they become irremovable. The last thing you want is for the stains to ruin your newly painted walls. Getting rid of unsightly grease, dust, or plain dirt handprints on the wall is not a big deal if you are patient.

House Cleaning specialists in San Diego have researched several efficient ways to remove handprints on your walls.

Identify the Type of Your Wall Finish

Determine what kind of paint finish your wall has necessary because House Cleaning a painted surface with too much force or using a harsh House Cleaning substance can ruin the paint. Always clean with the least amount of pressure possible, and test any House Cleaning on an obscure area first to see whether it constitutes a difference in the paint’s color.

Dish Soap

One of the most natural means for extracting handprints on the wall is to scrub the walls with dish soap.

If you decide to use dishwashing soap, make sure it will get rid of grease.

You have to begin by filling the bucket halfway with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid to start washing the wall. Dampen the microfiber cloth with the House Cleaning solution. Begin scrubbing the area with the damp microfiber cloth until it is clean again. Ensure to eliminate all oil residues before leaving the wall to dry. If you notice any fingerprint traces on the wall, start the process over.

All-Purpose House Cleaning Product

Start by wiping away the fingerprints with a damp microfiber cloth soaked in a small amount of mild detergent or a general-purpose House Cleaning product. Spray the House Cleaning product onto the microfiber cloth, not on the wall. Gently scrub the wall if the paint finish is smooth or matte to prevent scraping the paint. You may need to scour harder if gentle pressure is not sufficient to eliminate the fingerprints.

A House Cleaning combination of ammonia and water, in addition to an all-purpose cleaner, may be beneficial to remove fingerprints from painted walls. You may also use a commercial water-activated micro-scrubber, a baby wipe, or even a piece of white bread to extract fingerprints. As with every House Cleaning process, test these methods on an inconspicuous area of the wall to see if they affect the paint.

Vinegar

During the House cleaning process, vinegar works well for cleaning the marks on the wall, just as it does for other cleaning purposes. Soak a microfiber cloth or any clean cleaning cloth in vinegar and scrub the wall in a circular motion for this process. After a few scrubbings, you will notice that the mark begins to fade and gradually disappears. Then you can wash the wall with clean water.
